The UNESCO-recognized Jabal al-Shouf has biological reserves covered with oak and juniper forests. The area stretches from Dahar al-Badr in the north of Lebanon to the mountains of Neha in the south.

Some of the trees in these reservoirs are said to be 2,000 years old. The most famous of these attractions are the three magnificent pine forests of Masar al-Shouf, Barouk, and Ain Zalta Bemohri, which are one-fourth of the remaining pine forests in Lebanon.
